Baker & McKenzie advised Rexel under the acquisition of Sofinther from its founders. This acquisition enables Rexel to keep on developing its "multipower" activity in France and to complete its electric solution offer. Moreover, it reinforces the presence of Rexel on the controlling, thermal regulation and connected solution market.
Rexel is a global leader of professional distribution of products and services for the power industry and is present on three markets: the residential, tertiary and industrial markets. With more than 28,000 employees, Rexel operates in 35 countries through 2,100 points of sale. In 2014, it generated a turnover of EUR 13.1 billion.
Sofinther, a distributor specialized in thermal, heating and regulation equipment, serves the markets of collective housing and tertiary and industrial buildings and covers the entire French territory thanks to 24 offices. In 2014, Sofinther recorded a turnover of EUR 106 million.
