Baker & McKenzie advised internationally operating Swiss technology group Feintool AG on the sale of its subsidiary IMA Automation Amberg GmbH to the automotive supplier Preh GmbH, which is owned by the Chinese Joyson Group. The transaction is subject to the approval of antitrust authorities.
The acquisition by the Joyson group was structured as a share deal with separate purchase of the company production site. Baker & McKenzie advised comprehensively on all transaction-related legal and tax issues. The total purchase price amounted to approximately EUR20 million. Baker & McKenzie's transaction team was led by Kilian Perroulaz from the Zurich office and Dr. Nikolaus Reinhuber from Frankfurt.
