The law firms Mazzoni Regoli Carriello Pagni and Baker McKenzie assisted Sky Italia with negotiating an agreement between Sky Italia and Open Fiber for the launch of a fiber service starting from summer 2019. The agreement with Open Fiber aims to "accelerate the growth of fiber and pay TV in the long term," alongside Sky’s existing satellite offer. The accord will give Sky Italia access to the fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) ultrafast broadband network Open Fiber is laying in more than 271 Italian towns and cities by 2022.
Together with Sky legal counsels, Mazzoni Regoli Cariello Pagni’s team was composed of Senior Associate Deborah Russetti with coordination from Partner Duccio Regoli, while Baker McKenzie acted with a team composed of Senior Associate Andrea Mezzetti, coordinated by Partners Raffaele Giarda and Lorenzo de Martinis.
