Baker & McKenzie represented Bemis Company, Inc. in the recently announced sale of its global Pressure Sensitive Materials business to Platinum Equity for a purchase price of US$170 million.
The Pressure Sensitive Materials business, known as MACtac, includes manufacturing facilities in the US, Mexico and Belgium, in addition to a sales and distribution network that includes China, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Singapore, Sweden and the UK. The transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval, is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2014.
