The international law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT has advised Hellenstein SolarWind GmbH, a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG enterprise group, on the acquisition of another wind farm of eno energy GmbH. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.
After BEITEN BURKHARDT had already advised Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG on the acquisition of the wind farm Zolkow-Kladrum near Schwerin with a total output of 8.65 MW from eno energy GmbH last year, now the team headed by Dr. Maximilian Emanuel Elspas was again retained by Stadtwerke to comprehensively advise on corporate and energy law aspects and real estate law issues. Furthermore, Dr. Elspas and team rendered advice on public law issues and the transaction's financing.
The wind farm already in operation with a total nominal output of 12.3 MW comprises six wind turbines of the type Eno82-2,05 MW with 83,8 m hub height. The wind farm was built on a very wind-intensive site near Parchim, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and was connected to the grid in July 2014. Until the year 2020, the public utilities Stadtwerke intend to provide all private and commercial customers in Heidenheim with 100 per cent sustainable energy. Here, Stadtwerke focusses not only the development of own projects but also on the acquisition of wind and solar farms across Germany.
