Berwin Leighton Paisner advises HANSAINVEST on the acquisition of the Holiday Inn at Frankfurt Airport

Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) advised HANSAINVEST on the acquisition of the Holiday INN hotel at Gateway Gardens in the vicinity of Frankfurt Airport. The seller was a Joint Venture of Munich Hotel Invest GmbH and Münchner Grund Immobilien Bauträger GmbH. The purchase price of this transaction totalled EUR 45 Mio.

The hotel was acquired through a share deal after the frame construction was completed on February 24th, 2016 after only ten months of construction. Located in the Bessie-Coleman-Straße 16, it is in walking distance of Terminal 2 of Frankfurt Airport. Following the grand opening planned for the third quarter of 2016, the hotel will welcome guests on 12,000 sqm in 288 rooms, a conference area and 50 parking spots in an underground car park. Primestar Hospitality GmbH has leased the hotel
facility under a 20 year contract. The company is franchisee for the Holiday Inn brand of the Intercontinental Hotels Group.

BLP has advised HANSAINVEST on several different matters, including the acquisition of the logistics property “The Vault” at Liverpool International Business Park in February this year.
