BioTelemetry Technology acquires ePatch division of DELTA Danish Electronics, Light & Acoustics

On 1 April 2016, US listed company BioTelemetry Technology Inc. (NYSE) announced that it has concluded an agreement to acquire the ePatch division from DELTA Danish Electronics, Light & Acoustics, which is a Danish GTS institute (a technological service institute under the Danish Ministry of Science).

BioTelemetry Techonology Inc. develops technology solutions for the healthcare sector, focusing particularly on collecting health information to improve the quality of life for patients and reduce costs of care. DELTA Danish Electronics, Light & Acoustics, has previously partnered with BioTelemetry Technology Inc. on the development of the company’s new MCOT monitor.

The purchase price is approx USD 9m consisting of a cash element, consideration in the form of listed shares in BioTelemetry Technology Inc. and a performance-based earn-out.
