BLP advises Argent Related on its strategic development partnership with Haringey Council in Tottenham Hale

18 May 2017

Berwin Leighton Paisner has advised developer Argent Related on its strategic development partnership (SDP) with Haringey Council that will see the Council and the developer  work together to regenerate a large part of Tottenham Hale.

The SDP brings together key sites in the new District Centre planned for the area, located next to the Tottenham Hale transport hub, which will deliver around 900 homes, including market sale, build to rent and shared ownership tenures, over the next five years. There will also be new retail space and facilities such as a health centre, and wider transformation plans will bring improved streets and public spaces and other community amenities.

The BLP team was led by Real Estate partner Chris Rowe, supported by Sally Sparrow and Katherine Calder together with a multi-disciplinary team from BLP’s real estate, finance, planning and tax practices.

Robert Evans, Partner at Argent, said: “This partnership has come about because both Argent Related and Haringey are firmly committed to making Tottenham Hale a better place to live, work and spend time in. We look forward to progressing our plans and to presenting them to the Tottenham community”.

Chris Rowe said “It has been a pleasure to work alongside Argent Related to establish the strategic development partnership for Tottenham Hale. This agreement will be the catalyst for regeneration of the area and we are very much looking forward to seeing it evolve over the next 5 years.”

BLP are also advising on the regeneration of King’s Cross in London and on the redevelopment of Paradise Circus in Birmingham. Both projects are being led by Argent as development manager.
