Charles Russell Speechlys advises AVORA Ltd on a Series A funding round

06 Feb 2019
Charles Russell Speechlys has advised AVORA Ltd, a technology and software company providing business intelligence and machine learning services, on a substantial investment by Albion Capital Group LLP and Crane Venture Partners LLP, along with simultaneous additional investments by existing shareholders. The investment round closed in early January 2019.

The investment was structured to suit Albion and Crane as venture capital trusts, with the other investors seeking to invest under the enterprise investment scheme.

AVORA has already built an impressive client base, including Telefonica, OMD, NPR, HBO LatAm and Ocado. Unlike other analytics platforms, AVORA’s Smart Alerts feature proactively looks for and flags data anomalies in real-time, allowing businesses to spend their time making more effective decisions using trusted insights, with immediate results.

Ricky Thomas, founder and CEO of AVORA, said: “Legacy data analysis solutions are slow, expensive and no longer fit for purpose. Comprehensive solutions are vital to organisations - our technology, harnessing machine learning and augmented intelligence looks to replace clunky infrastructure with an end-to-end, continuous system of insights that is both faster to deploy and more flexible to use.”

The Charles Russell Speechlys team comprised Corporate Partner Richard Norton and Corporate Associate Rebecca Brown.
