MinterEllison has advised China Zhongwang Holdings, a world-leading developer and manufacturer of fabricated aluminium products, on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Silver Yachts.

MinterEllison has advised China Zhongwang Holdings Limited (CZH), a world-leading developer and manufacturer of fabricated aluminium products, on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Silver Yachts Limited (SYL).

SYL is a Cayman Islands holding group of companies specialising in the design and production of aluminium superyachts.

The production facilities are located in Henderson, Perth, Western Australia.

CZH acquired the majority stake through Hong Kong Zhongwang Investment Limited.

MinterEllison's core Perth-based team was led by Adam Handley (Partner) and Bryn Davis (Partner) with support from Lili Pan (Senior Associate & Executive Director – China Business), Tighe Whelan (Special Counsel), and Kayla Giudicatti (Lawyer).

The core team was supported by a cross-divisional team including partners Gemey Visscher, Anthony Portas, John Fairbairn, Nicholas Pascoe, Kathy Reid, Craig Boyle, Gehann Perera and Lee Rossetto.
