Clayton Utz has advised Macquarie Capital (Australia) Limited on GUD Holdings Limited's A$79.3 million placement to sophisticated and institutional investors. The transaction was announced to the ASX on 12 May 2015.

Corporate partner Brendan Groves led the Clayton Utz team, which includes senior associate Warrick Louey and lawyer Kate Allison.

Macquarie Capital (Australia) Limited acted as sole manager and underwriter for the placement. The placement was part of a broader capital raising, which included a non-underwritten share purchase plan to eligible shareholders of GUD Holdings Limited.

Proceeds from the capital raising will be used to fund the acquisition of Brown & Watson International Pty Ltd, which was also announced to ASX on 12 May 2015.
