Clifford Chance advises Airbus on the sale of its shares in Atlas Elektronik to thyssenkrupp

Clifford Chance has advised Airbus on the sale of its shares in Atlas Elektronik group to thyssenkrupp. thyssenkrupp already holds a 51% interest in Atlas Elektronik. With the aquisition of the 49% interest in the group currently held by Airbus, thyssenkrupp will become the sole owner of Atlas Elektronik. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Completion of the transaction is subject to certain approvals.

The Atlas Elektronik group is an international maritime high-tech company with a global reputation among other things as supplier of sonar systems. Atlas Elektronik is headquartered in Bremen, Germany, and currently has around 2,100 employees.
