Clifford Chance advises ALTANA on the acquisition of metallography technology from Landa

Clifford Chance advised specialty chemicals group ALTANA, Wesel, Germany, on the acquisition of a novel metallography technology from Israeli Landa group.

The technology for producing metallised graphics on print products is both a commercial and an environmentally sustainable alternative to existing cold and hot foil-transfer processes, enabling metallization graphics at up to half the cost, material and time previously required. The future development of the metallography technology as well as the marketing and distribution activities will be managed by ACTEGA Metal Print GmbH who belongs to ALTANA's business unit ACTEGA Coatings & Sealants.
