05 Apr 2013

Clifford Chance advised European financial investor Chequers Capital, Paris, on the acquisition of Deutsche Fachpflege Holding as well as the related financing.

Deutsche Fachpflege Holding, Munich, is currently offering out-of-clinic intensive care via seven subsidiaries to patients based in the German federal states of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, North-Rhine Westphalia and Saxony.

The Clifford Chance was led by partner Burc Hesse (Corporate/Private Equity, Munich) and included partners Barbara Mayer-Trautmann and Thomas Weitkamp as well as associate Peter Kuhlmann (all Acquisition Finance, Munich), senior associate Dr. Albrecht Brodhun, associate Regina Goebel (both Private Equity, Munich) and senior associate Dr. Michael Lamsa (Private Equity, Frankfurt), partner Dr. Uwe Schimmelschmidt (Tax, Frankfurt) and counsel Cord von Mandelsloh (Tax, Düsseldorf), partner Dr. Peter Dieners and senior associate Maria Heil (both Healthcare, Düsseldorf) as well as counsel Albrecht von Graevenitz (Corporate/Antitrust, Frankfurt). Moreover, a number of lawyers from Clifford Chance's Luxembourg office worked on the matter.

A team led by Burc Hesse regularly advises Chequers Capital in the context of transactions, such as the acquisition of Munich-based special-care home operator Silver Care Holding, the acquisition of Cordenka Group, the acquisition of Versatel Kabel and most recently the acquisition of the majority stake in the manufacturer of power tools Metabo.
