Clifford Chance advising Cinven and Carlyle on sale of 7.5 million shares in Altice

International law firm Clifford Chance is advising leading private equity firms Cinven and Carlyle on an accelerated book build to sell 7.5 million shares in European cable and telecoms company Altice.

Cinven and Carlyle acquired their stake in Altice earlier this year as part of the transaction under which they sold French domestic broadband provider Numericable to Altice. The combined value of the stake in Altice is approximately EUR337.5 million.

The Clifford Chance team is led by Co Head of Global Private Equity, Jonny Myers. The team includes Capital Markets Partner Iain Hunter,  Derivatives Partner Anne Drakeford, Private Equity Senior Associate Christopher Sullivan and  Banking Senior Associate Andrew Woolmer with support from Associate Ed Dyson.

JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs are the book runners for the placement, representing c3.0 per cent of the company's outstanding share capital.
