Global law firm Clyde & Co has advised Younata on the sale of a majority stake in the Kalium group of companies (Kalium), a well-established medical solutions provider in the Middle East and North Africa, to AVIVO Group (AVIVO), a unit of the private equity firm Al Masah Capital.
Clyde & Co advised Younata on all aspects of the deal, up to its successful completion. The work involved advising in respect of regulatory and other matters in a number of jurisdictions (including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Lebanon) and assisting with the negotiation and conclusion of the definitive legal agreements.
Established 10 years ago, Kalium is one of the leading medical aesthetics solutions providers in the MENA region. It owns and operates clinics and education institutions and distributes advanced medical equipment, skin care products and aesthetic devices. Kalium has worked with the region's most renowned aesthetic medical professionals in all aspects of the skin care and anti-aging industry. AVIVO is a leading healthcare services provider in the GCC and has more than 40 healthcare facilities in MENA with plans to expand to South-East Asia.
