Frankfurt/Main – Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG has provided financing amounting to EUR 139 million as part of a consortium with Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen Girozentrale to subsidiaries of Segro plc for the purpose of acquiring a logistics property portfolio. Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG acted as arranger, facility agent and security agent on the deal.
The facility will be used to fund the acquisition of the Raclette, Comte and Titan portfolios comprising a total of 23 German sites occupied by logistics properties and held by German, Dutch and Luxembourg property companies.
A team led by lead partner Dr Markus Pfaff together with colleagues from the CMS offices in the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the UK advised Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG on all legal aspects of the transaction.
At the same time, CMS advised Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG on financing a further property portfolio in Poland. Segro has expanded its logistics property portfolio through the acquisition of three distribution centres located in central and western Poland. CMS advised Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG on a EUR 41 million facility involving Poland, Luxembourg and the Czech Republic.
This is the seventh transaction on which CMS firms have acted for Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG in the space of a few months.
