Ebay, through its subsidiary, StubHub, has acquired Ticketbis, a Spanish company whose business activity is intermediation in ticket selling between private parties.

StubHub, which was acquired by eBay in 2007, operates in the ticket resale market in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, while Ticketbis is active in 47 countries and has a strong presence in Spain, Portugal, Asia and South America. With this acquisition, the eBay subsidiary becomes the world leader in the ticket resale market.
