The purchase will generate approximately €350 million in sales for the French chemical company
Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira, in collaboration with the Dutch firm Loyens & Loeff N.V, advised the chemical company Arkema on purchasing the Dutch industrial adhesives manufacturer Den Braven for €485 million.
This purchase will add approximately €350 million in sales to the balance sheet of the French multinational. In addition, the company will be able to continue strengthening a business segment to which it firmly committed in 2015 by buying Boskit, the main French manufacturer of this type of adhesives.
In fact, according to Arkema's forecast, the purchase will enable the French group to save nearly €30 million in costs of a production line that is expected to represent 50% of the group's total sales in 2020.
Collaboration of the legal team led by partners Alejandro Payá and João Mattamouros from the M&A Practice, and senior associate Sandra Silveira advising on labor and employment matters was decisive in closing the transaction.
