Simpson Thacher represented CVC Capital Partners ("CVC") in connection with the formation and raising of CVC Capital Partners VII ("Fund VII"), CVC’s latest flagship fund for private equity investments in Europe and North America.

The fund closed with a hard cap of €15.5 billion. Together with the commitments of CVC and its employees, Fund VII will have over €16 billion of equity capital available to invest. It is the largest European fundraising on record.
