DAC Beachcroft advises on significant mental healthcare acquisitions

12 May 2015

DAC Beachcroft have advised on Partnerships in Care's (PiC) successful acquisition of two mental health units from Choice Lifestyles in March 2015 and on their proposed acquisition of Care UK's mental health group.

The acquisition of Care UK's 323-bed mental health group by PiC is due to complete on 1 June 2015.

Care UK's mental health division provides recovery-focused services for people with diverse and complex mental health needs in hospitals, purpose-built residential care settings and supported living facilities. The acquisition will allow PiC's care pathways to enhance its offering into child and adolescent eating disorder and self-injury provision, and as one of the largest and most experienced independent mental health service providers in the UK, the acquisition will enable PiC to provide over 1,800 beds.

The DAC Beachcroft team, on both deals, was led by corporate partner James Reed. James said: "We are extremely pleased to have assisted Partnerships in Care with these two key transactions, which broaden its care offering as one of the leading mental health service providers in the UK."

DAC Beachcroft is widely recognised as the leading strategic, commercial and regulatory legal adviser to the health and social care sector in the UK, and advises two in three of the biggest private health and social care providers in the UK.
