Beijing-based partner Wang Libo and Guangzhou-based attorney Zhou Sisi recently advised Qingyuan Qingnong E-Commerce Co., Ltd., an O2O e-commerce platform, on its formation, finance and the structuring of a business model.

The platform is a strategic joint venture by the government of Qingyuan and Alibaba Group. Based in Qingyuan, Guangzhou province, the platform serves the interest of agriculture, farmer and rural areas by selling local green agricultural and aquacultural products to consumers nationwide. The O2O online platform creates a supply chain linking green, quality and high-end products from Qingyuan to offline specialty shops and supermarkets and specialty restaurants. It marks an important step for Taobao in its expansion into villages and rural households.
