Dacheng Advises Sky Solar Holdings, Ltd. on Nasdaq IPO

A Shanghai-based team led by senior partner Lin Jing recently advised Sky Solar Holdings, Ltd. (“Sky Solar”, ticker symbol: SKYS) on a Nasdaq initial public offering. The company closed the first trading day at US$9.15 a share, a 14.38 percent increase over the IPO price.

Sky Solar Holdings, Ltd., founded in 2005, is a multinational engaged in the investment of renewable energy projects (especially solar power) and operation and management of power generation assets, including more than ten subsidiaries in the world’s key solar markets. In the course of rapid growth of the world’s solar power sector, Sky Solar is among the first to establish a full, complete circle from the development, investment and construction, management, integrated operation, financial asset disposal to maintenance of overseas projects and pioneer localized financing for solar power plants.

The Shanghai-based team acted as PRC legal counsel for Sky Solar on the IPO and listing. The team was responsible for restructuring and reorganizing the company’s businesses at home and abroad, acquiring and splitting relevant business units and drafting the prospectus.
