Davis Polk is advising Arancia, S.A. de C.V. as a majority equity shareholder in Pacific Star Foodservice in connection with the sale of a 50% interest in Pacific Star to Sysco Corporation. The transaction requires a regulatory review by Mexican government authorities. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Pacific Star has operated since 1989 with distribution centers servicing customers in the major metropolitan areas of Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey and Tijuana. Arancia is a company engaged in the biotechnology, linen rental and logistics fields in Mexico. Sysco is a global leader in selling, marketing and distributing food products to restaurants, health care and educational facilities, lodging establishments and other customers who prepare meals away from home.
