De Brauw has advised Vitol Investment Partnership on divesting 50% of the shares in VTTI to Buckeye Partners.

Buckeye Partners, L.P. has acquired 50 percent shareholding in the holding company of VTTI for a consideration of USD 1.15 billion. VTTI is one of the largest independent global energy terminal businesses and Buckeye owns and operates a diversified network of integrated assets providing midstream logistic solutions. It is one of the largest independent liquid petroleum products pipeline operators in the United States. The joint shareholding of Buckeye and Vitol will add greater strategic value to VTTI and will further strengthen VTTI’s position as a leading independent provider of energy storage solutions.
