Dechert LLP represents global private equity firm Advent International and its portfolio company Allnex, a leading international supplier of resins, on selected aspects of the acquisition and public take-over of Nuplex Industries, a global manufacturer of resins used in paints, coatings and structural materials. The transaction was completed on September 13, 2016.

Dechert served as special counsel when Advent International first purchased the coating resins business from Cytec Industries in 2013 to form a leading coating resins business under the brand Allnex. Following continued ongoing corporate advice to both entities, Dechert worked on this transaction alongside lead law firm Allen & Overy advising Advent International and Allnex. The Dechert team was led by Munich-based partner Berthold A. Hummel, with assistance from national partner Dr. Katja Heuterkes (Corporate Munich) and associate Christian Böhme (Corporate Munich). Tax assistance was also provided by Frankfurt-based partner Dr. Martin Haisch.
