Global law firm Dentons has advised Eurus Energy Group, a leading Japanese renewable energy company, on the acquisition of six operational wind farms in the Netherlands with a combined capacity of 32.18 MW from YARD ENERGY Group, a Dutch-based developer of wind energy projects.
Consisting of 15 wind turbines in total, the wind farms were developed and constructed by YARD in various parts of the Netherlands. Their combined production is sufficient for supplying renewable electricity for over 24,000 households. The acquisition has brought the total wind capacity of Eurus in the Netherlands to 106.48 MW.
Eurus Energy Group develops, invests in and operates renewable energy projects globally. Starting from its first project in California in 1987, Eurus now has over 2.8 GW of wind and solar power generation worldwide.
A multi-disciplinary Dentons team in Amsterdam advised the client on corporate aspects (led by Kuif Klein Wassink), regulatory aspects (led by Jan Jakob Peelen) and banking aspects (led by Marcel Janssen), of the transaction.
