Dentons advises Hilton on management agreement related to sale of iconic Waldorf Astoria New York and resulting acquisition of five hotels on both coasts

Dentons represented Hilton Worldwide in a series of transactions related to the Waldorf Astoria New York and the acquisition of five landmark hotel properties with the proceeds.

Last October a team from Dentons represented Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. in its 100-year management contact negotiations related to its $1.95 billion sale of the iconic Waldorf Astoria New York hotel to Beijing-based Anbang Insurance Group.  The Dentons team was led by Hotel and Leisure partners Meghan Cocci and Rick Ross, and also included Hotels and Leisure partner Mark Daliere and senior managing associate Christopher Lee, and Intellectual Property and Technology partner Carol Anne Been.  Additional support was provided by Hotels and Leisure partner David Klein and associate Eileen Andree, Litigation partner Gary Meyerhoff, Corporate partner Todd Liao, and Hotels & Leisure counsel Eddie Hsu.

More recently, Dentons acted as lead outside counsel to Hilton Worldwide in its deployment of the proceeds from the sale of the Waldorf Astoria New York for the acquisition of five properties for $1.76 billion:  the resort complex consisting of the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando in Orlando, FL; The Reach, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Key West, FL; Casa Marina, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Key West, FL; and Parc 55 in San Francisco, CA.
