Dentons assisted Tink Labs in the acquisition by its parent company of the entire corporate capital of Luxos Italia, a company operating in the publishing, advertising and media content business. Luxos Italia is the publisher of “Luxos”, a luxury and life style magazine, in several countries.
The Dentons team was composed by partner Luca Pocobelli and the Head of China Desk Claudio Giammarino, flanked for labor issues by partner Iacopo Aliverti Piuri.
Founded in Hong Kong in 2012, Tink Labs is best known for its flagship “handy” smartphone and online service provided to guests in about 100,000 rooms at three- to five-star hotels in 15 cities around the world. Tink Labs’ aim is to help hotels better monetise and understand their guests through mobile technology. As one of Hong Kong’s best funded technology start-up, Tink Labs has raised a total of US$170 million including the most recent US$125 million investment from Taiwan’s Foxconn Technology Group as well as tech venture capitalists Cai Wensheng and Kai-Fu Lee.
