DLA Piper advises 2 Sisters Food Group on the sale of its sandwich business to Samworth Brothers

DLA Piper has advised 2 Sisters Food Group on the sale of its Manton Wood sandwich business to Samworth Brothers.

Located at Manton Wood, Nottinghamshire, it produces a range of retailer chilled sandwiches, wraps and rolls. The finalisation of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory clearances, which are expected to be completed in the coming months.

The DLA Piper team was led by a Birmingham-based corporate team that included partner Noel Haywood, senior associate Simon Wright, associate Mark Cliffe and trainee solicitors Harry Eastgate and Aaron Jenkins. Senior associates, David Booth and Jonathan Caldwell advised on the commercial aspects of the transaction. Partner, Roger Collier advised on real estate matters and tax advice was provided by senior associate Nick Hinton.
