DLA Piper represented ABRY Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, in its acquisition of Highwinds, an industry leading content delivery network (CDN) provider, by its portfolio company StackPath.

With the acquisition, StackPath, which is headquartered in Dallas, now has one of the world's largest global network infrastructures and more than 20,000 customers in the growing CDN space. Highwinds' Winter Park, Florida, operation will serve as the core of StackPath's CDN engineering.

The DLA Piper team that advised ABRY Partners included Southeast US Managing Partner Joe Alexander (Miami) and partners Brian Gordon (Atlanta), Jamie Knox, Ryan Moreno and Paolo Morante (New York), William Bartow (Philadelphia), Julia Kovacs (Washington, DC), Cathryn Le Regulski (Northern Virginia), Jennifer Kashatus (Washington, DC), Jonathan Watkins (Manchester), Daphne Bens (Amsterdam) and Sanjay Joshi (Toronto).

Also included on the team were Fabiano Gallo and Rafaella Chiachio, members of Campos Mello Advogados, an independent law firm operating in Brazil that has a cooperation agreement with DLA Piper.
