DLA Piper Real Estate partner Ian Brierley has advised Aroland Holdings on what will be the City of London's tallest building, 1 Undershaft. The City of London Corporation granted planning permission last week. Ian provided strategic and other mainstream real estate advice on the project.
The 73-storey building, designed by leading architect Eric Parry, will be 304.94 metres when built, making it the second tallest in Western Europe. It will provide 130,000 square metres of office accommodation, and 2,000 square metres of retail space, housing up to 10,000 workers upon completion.
