DLA Piper has advised Beyond Capital Partners (Beyond Capital) on its participation in LDBS Lichtdienst GmbH (LDBS), the leading specialist for lighting.
Beyond Capital is an investment company with a focus on acquiring majority interests in profitable medium-sized companies located in the DACH region. The participation in LDBS is Beyond Capital's initial investment in Germany. The purpose of the participation is to develop new market segments, as well as to increase the geographical scope of the business over the next few years. The founders and shareholders of LDBS, Robert Bechtle and Bernd Schwettmann, set up the company 15 years ago and will retain their positions as managing directors.
As one of the leading specialists in the lighting business within the German-speaking countries, LDBS distributes lamps, illuminants and other corresponding components, and provides corporate clients with a full range of services in connection with lighting. LDBS is very well-positioned in the market due to its integral service concept, which combines component trading, product expertise and a complete range of services. Further, LDBS offers a broad product portfolio to customers on various online platforms.
