DLA Piper advises Bounce Inc on flagship store in Hong Kong

16 Jul 2015

DLA Piper has advised Bounce Inc Hong Kong Limited ("BOUNCEinc"), a related company of Bounce Australia Pty Ltd that runs indoor trampoline recreation centres across Australia, on its leases and licences in relation to its flagship premises at the Kowloon International Trade and Exhibition Centre ("KITEC"), of over 21,000 square feet and a grand opening date of 15 July 2015.

The team also advised on liability and risk, terms and conditions, privacy policy, insurance cover, safety posters,  and insurance documents.

BOUNCEinc is a spring-loaded urban playground with a wide range of things to do for adults and kids - from aerial manoeuvres to slam dunking, wall running and dodgeball warfare. It has more than 80 interconnected trampolines housed within a large colourful space covered with circus-grade sponge, giant air bags and springs.

Susheela Rivers, Head of Real Estate Asia Pacific said: "This deal is a testament to the burgeoning Hong Kong real estate market which is accessible for businesses of all sizes. BOUNCEinc has been very active in Australia and has now expanded into Hong Kong, which is testament to their growing business.  We are pleased to have been able to assist BOUNCEinc on their various pre-opening matters, which also demonstrates the breadth of DLA Piper's practice and expertise".

The team was led by Janice Yau Garton, Senior Associate (Real Estate), and supported by Ada Wu, Senior Associate (Real Estate), Louise Crawford, Legal Officer (Intellectual Property & Technology) and Jeannette Tam, Senior Associate (Employment).
