DLA Piper has advised Global Sky Park GmbH, one of the world’s leading suppliers of satellite-assisted communication services, on the entry of a new shareholder. P&T Capital, and investment subsidiary of the state-owned postal and telecommunications operator in Luxembourg, has acquired a shareholding in the young technology company that is currently on a worldwide expansion course.
Based in Frankfurt, Global Sky Park GmbH provides stationary and mobile satellite connections for industrial clients from the fields of energy, utilities, plant engineering, logistics and security. These connections make it possible to transmit technical data information such as SCADA, speech or images practically in real time, with a high level of availability and in a cost-effective manner to almost anywhere in the world.
The investment company P&T Capital is part of the state-owned Luxembourg company P&T and primarily participates as a capital provider in young companies and business start-ups which are involved in the fields of information technology, communications and telecommunications or which specialize in the distribution of information in written or electronic form.
