DLA Piper advises Invesco Real Estate on sale of hotel portfolio

DLA Piper has advised the global real estate investment manager, Invesco Real Estate (IRE), on the sale of a hotel portfolio consisting of four InterCity Hotels across Germany. The sale took place within a structured process as a share deal. The buyer is an Oman based investor's group led by Al Zaman Group of Companies. The parties involved have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The properties are located in the cities of Darmstadt, Mainz, Rostock and at Frankfurt Airport. The hotels are operated on the basis of 30-year hybrid lease agreements. Invesco Real Estate is a global real estate investment management company operating worldwide. Founded in 1983, it manages 149 assets across 12 European countries and with assets under management of € 9.0 bn.

The DLA Piper team in Munich was led by Real Estate counsel, Karin Elske, who previously advised Invesco on the purchase of the hotel portfolio as well as various other hotel transactions. The team also comprised of Real Estate partner Lars Reubekeul and associate Philipp Moser, alongside Hamburg-based Corporate senior associate, Katharina Minski.
