DLA Piper advises Link Group on £888 million (AU$1.49 billion) acquisition of Capita Asset Services

DLA Piper lawyers from Corporate, Litigation & Regulatory, Employment, IPT, Tax and Finance provided support, including UK based Corporate partner Jon Hayes and senior associate Rebecca Holden, along with partners Michael McKee (Regulatory), Roger Gough and Peter Brook (Commercial Contracts), and Australian partners Nicholas Turner (Employment) and Onno Bakker (Finance).

Link Group is a market leading provider of technology-enabled administration solutions for over 2,500 clients globally. The company is the largest provider of services in Australia's superannuation fund administration industry, which services the fourth largest pension pool in the world based on funds under management.

The acquisition is expected to complete by 31 December 2017.

J.P. Morgan is acting as financial adviser to Link Group and Sole Global Co-Ordinator, Joint Lead Manager, Joint Bookrunner and Joint Underwriter to the equity raise. Citigroup is acting as Joint Lead Manager, Joint Bookrunner and Joint Underwriter. Allen & Overy advised Link Group on the fully underwritten renounceable rights issue conducted by Link Group to raise part of the funding for the transaction.
