DLA Piper advises LLR Partners in acquisition of Agility Recovery

DLA Piper represented private equity firm LLR Partner in the acquisition of a major stake in Agility Recovery, a national leader in disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.

Agility, a former division of General Electric, is a premier provider of business continuity and disaster recovery solutions in North America. Agility provides robust and easy-to-implement recovery solutions for an affordable monthly membership fee, including access to power generators, office space, communications and computer systems.

LLR Partners is a private equity firm investing in middle market growth companies with proven business models. The firm invests in a broad range of industries, with an emphasis on technology and service-based businesses. Founded in 1999, and with more than $2 billion raised across four funds, LLR is a flexible provider of capital for growth, recapitalizations and buyouts

The DLA Piper team representing LLR in its investment of Agility Recovery included Eric Grossman, Matthew VanderGoot and Cara Hupprich (all Northern Virginia), Gregory Orenstein (Atlanta), David Plewa and Nate McKitterick (Silicon Valley), Rita Patel (Washington, DC), and Erin Carney D'Angelo (New York).

Golub Capital provided debt financing in support of the transaction and Raymond James served as exclusive financial advisor to Agility. Generation Partners invested in Agility Recovery in 2001 and remains a minority shareholder in the business.
