DLA Piper advises on the refinancing and the IP and media business reorganisation of A.S. Roma

The refinancing of the Italian Serie A football team company, A.S. Roma, and the connected corporate reorganisation of its IP and media business has been successfully completed.

Goldman Sachs International, as Mandated Lead Arranger and Bookrunner, and UniCredit Bank AG - Milan Branch, as Agent and Security Agent of the financing, were advised by Gattai Minoli Agostinelli & Partners and Latham & Watkins.

The Gattai Minoli Agostinelli & Partners team comprised Riccardo Agostinelli, Andrea Taurozzi, Daniele Migliarucci and Marta Pradella.

Latham & Watkins' team for the transaction included Christopher Kandel and Philipp Vorbeck (London) and Giancarlo D'Ambrosio, Beatrice Gattoni, Claudio Segna and Guido Bartolomei (Milan).

A.S. Roma - and the other group entities involved - were represented by DLA Piper, through its offices in the US, United Kingdom and Italy, and by the Italian law firm Tonucci & Partners.

The DLA Piper finance team included Peter White and Mark Whitaker from the firm's New York and Reston offices respectively, Alex Griffith, Ugo De Vivo and Smridhi Gulati from the London office, and Mario D'Ovidio, Francesco Ferrari, Michele Parlangeli and Antonio Izzi from the Milan office. For the IP and media business reorganisation, the DLA Piper team included Paolo Zamberletti, Francesco Aleandri and Barbara Donato, who advised on the corporate aspects, and Antonio Tomassini and Christian Montinari for tax matters. Gualtiero Dragotti and Sara Balice advised on the IP aspects of the deal.

Tonucci and Partners' team included Gianluca Cambareri (partner), and Giuseppe Santarelli (associate) of the M&A and Capital Market practice.
