DLA Piperhas advised on the sale of RPC Voyages SAS, a business centred around selling travel and accommodation services online, to sector leader Karavel-Promovacances.
RPC Voyages has recently placed in receivership, and the acquisition by Karavel-Promovacances will see the implementation of a turnaround plan that should rapidly restore the profitability of the business and its Ecotour flagship brand. The sale and new turnaround plan will help to rescue the brand and its activities, with RPC Voyages’ creditors benefiting from a continuation plan through until the end of May 2015.
RPC Voyages was advised by Noam Ankri, partner, and Elsa Decourt. The company’s minority shareholders were also supported by DLA Piper, with Jeremy Scemama, partner, and Bertrand Levy, counsel, acting for them.
