DLA Piper represented the Kindler family and other shareholders in the recapitalization of a ten-unit Planet Fitness franchisee based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The family will maintain an ownership stake in the newly created National Fitness Partners and will manage the business in conjunction with the new investor, private-investment firm Argonne Capital Group LLC, and other shareholders.

The Kindler family opened its first Planet Fitness franchise in 2007, and expanded to several locations in the region to provide services to over 65,000 members. Planet Fitness is one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the US.
