DLA Piper has been advising TÜV SÜD on the takeover of K+S Haustechnik Planungsgesellschaft. Through the takeover, TÜV SÜD is deliberately extending its range of services in the real estate sector. K+S specializes in sophisticated projects in the field of commercial and administrative property.
The service spectrum of TÜV SÜD AG encompasses consultancy, inspection, tests and expert reports as well as certification and training. Founded as a steam boiler inspection association in 1866, the technical service company employs in excess of 17,000 people at more than 800 locations in Europe, America, Asia and Africa for the optimization of technology, systems and know-how.
K+S Planungsgesellschaft, headquartered in Rheinbach, was founded in 1991 as a planning office for technical building equipment. The range of services offered covers new buildings, reconstructions, extensions, conversions, modernizations, maintenance work and repairs. Added to this are consultancy services in the fields of technical due diligence, energy sustainability and the revitalization of properties. Key customers included project developers, housing construction companies, retail groups, public authorities as well as funds and insurance companies.
