DLA Piper advises TDC on yet another acquisition

20 Sep 2017

DLA Piper has advised TDC Group in connection with the negotiations to reach an agreement on TDC’s takeover of the mobile phone operator Plenti and its approx. 90,000 subscribers. TDC purchases 100% of the shares for the price of DKK 74 million.

Plenti was established in 2015 by Morten Strunge (previously Onfone) and Peter Mægbæk (previously Fullrate), among others. The firm succeeded in capturing a vast number of customers in a short period of time, and the acquisition is therefore attractive to TDC both from a financial and from a strategic point of view.

DLA Piper has been legal advisor to TDC for many years and provided assistance in connection with the acquisitions of the Cirque Group, Fullrate A/S, Onfone A/S, DONG’s fibre network and the A+ Group, etc. DLA Piper’s assistance in this matter once more cements our market leading position in mergers and acquisitions advisory services.

Partner Sebastian Ingversen, Lawyer Jacob Sørensen and Associate Anna Christine Krøger-Petersen advised TDC in connection with the acquisition of Plenti.

The acquisition is not subject to approval from the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority and, consequently, takes effect immediately.
