DLA Piper advises Wipro on Australian aspects of ATCO acquisition

05 Sep 2014

DLA Piper has advised Indian outsourcing company Wipro on the Australian component of a global acquisition deal worth roughly AU$208 million.

Wipro has acquired Canadian-based ATCO's IT subsidiaries in Australia and North America, as well as entering into a series of Master Services Agreements for a period of 10 years that will see them provide a complete suite of IT services to ATCO.

ATCO I-Tek has an Australian presence in Perth, which is included in the deal. The Perth IT division of ATCO I-Tek offers systems integration and also operates a SAP practice, along with mobility, voice, data, security, disaster recovery and managed infrastructure from its tier-three data centre.

Partner Mark Burger led the DLA Piper team acting on the transaction.
