DLA Piper is advising The a2 Milk Company Limited (a2MC) on its plans to list on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). The company will retain its New Zealand incorporation following the proposed ASX listing and will also remain on the New Zealand Stock Exchange.
The Board of a2MC considers that, as a significant part of the company's earnings and growth are coming from Australia, seeking an ASX listing is a logical strategic move for the company. Managing Director at a2MC, Geoffrey Babidge, said: "Listing on the ASX will enable more Australian investors to participate in the company’s growth and will increase the attractiveness and liquidity of its shares."
The a2MC is being advised by DLA Piper partners Bryan Pointon and Catherine Merity, with support from their New Zeland colleagues, partners Martin Wiseman and Rachel Taylor.
The listing is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2015.
