The London-based banking team at legal business DWF has advised Clydesdale Bank in relation to two recent finance transactions.
Clydesdale has now agreed to provide funding to Winfinity Limited, a specialist wireless internet service provider that delivers superfast WiFi to geographically remote areas across the UK as well as hard-to-reach locations, including military barracks and training facilities. Since its launch in 2007 the company has diversified its service line to include the delivery of internet services to other hard-to-reach locations, including schools and parks. The funding will allow the service provider to continue expanding its capability.
The DWF team advising on the deal was led by London-based banking director Amrish Sharma with support from Leah Glover, Karolina Kola and Annabel Cole in the firm's banking team.
DWF also advised Clydesdale in relation to the recent acquisition of specialist energy consultancy The Energy Architects by The Consultus International Group Limited ("Consultus"). The deal follows the recent MBO of The Energy Brokers Limited and purchase of The Waterbuyers Limited last year. The acquisition is part of Consultus' ongoing aim to deliver on its ambitious growth strategy and support its expansion into profitable new markets, including the water and energy sectors. DWF advised Clydesdale on the provision of an innovative, flexible funding solution, supported through an existing debt facility.
The DWF team advising on the deal was also led by London-based banking director Amrish Sharma with support from Manchester-based Karolina Kola in the firm's banking team and DWF's Manchester-based corporate team.
