DWF advised NetCentrix and its subsidiary SystemHOST on its acquisition by Elitetele.com, a voice, hosting and data centre specialist, based in Chorley.
Carnforth-based NetCentrix and SystemHOST were founded in 2002 and specialise in bespoke cloud platforms for a mixture of public and private sector clients.
NetCentrix design, implement and manage enterprise IT products for its clients, as well as guiding them in their transition to the cloud. Its subsidiary, SystemHOST, specialises in hosted IT solutions which allow SMEs and corporates to outsource part or all of their IT function.
Phil Scanlon, Managing Director and founder of NetCentrix said “Our products greatly complement Elite’s existing solutions and we are very much looking forward to launching the combined offering into the market.”
Matt Newing, Chief Executive and founder of Elite said “This deal cements our position at the forefront of unified communications and broadens our capabilities in cloud based technologies.”
NetCentrix is Elite’s eleventh acquisition since 2008 and, with further deals in the pipeline, marks a return to M&A for Newing and his management team.
Newing added: “This acquisition brings a third data centre on-net to Elite’s UK-wide NGN core network. We have increased our capacity to offer IT and Cloud solutions and we have exciting plans for further innovation in the market with NetCentrix and SystemHOST on board.”
Elite was founded in 2000 and employs over 150 staff with customers spanning a wide range of sectors from hospitality to travel.
The core DWF team consisted of Frank Shephard, Darren Ormsby and Francesca Kinsella (Corporate).
Frank, who led the deal, said “We are delighted to have helped the shareholders of NetCentrix achieve this outcome. It is a great business and I look forward to seeing how the business evolves.”
