DWF has advised technology start-up Reconfigure.io on the investment in the business by Manchester-based cloud hosting business UKFast, which will see the software start-up enter its next phase of strategic growth.
The 13-strong team at Reconfigure.io aims to unlock the increased processing potential within servers and offers cloud computing hardware acceleration for engineers, and this deal marks the completion of the business' latest round of funding. Cloud provider UKFast has made a significant, undisclosed investment that will allow the firms to develop a working partnership and which sees UKFast become the single largest investor in this round.
Darren Ormsby, Senior Associate in DWF's corporate team, advised on the deal.
Darren said: "We're pleased to have advised Reconfigure.io on this transaction, which will allow them to make significant strides towards delivering on their ambitious expansion plans. Our corporate practice offers strong tech sector capability, and this deal is a good example of how we are leveraging that experience in order to deliver commercially-focused solutions for clients operating in this market."
DWF's strong corporate practice has advised a number of tech-based clients on high profile transactions this year, including the sales of Mini-Cam Enterprises to Halma plc, Xceleron inc to Pharmaron and Trak (Global Solutions).
