DWF Germany advises Golden Star on two property acquisitions

18 Apr 2016

DWF Germany advised international property investment company Golden Star Properties B.V. (Golden Star) on the asset acquisition of BMW’s training academy in Munich and the leasehold of a landmark office building in Frankfurt.

The DWF team, led by real estate partners Oliver Bolthausen and Dr Falko Grauer, advised Golden Star on the acquisition of BMW’s 16,000 square metre training academy from the seller, Hertie Stiftung.

The team also advised Golden Star on a leasehold transaction regarding a landmark 30,000 square metre office building on Theodor-Heuss-Straße 112 in Frankfurt, which boasts a range of existing tenants including American Express and Avaya.

Oliver Bolthausen, real estate partner at DWF Germany said: “Golden Star is an ambitious business looking to expand its property portfolio in Germany and across Europe. It was great to support Golden Star on these significant acquisitions that not only support their strategic commercial aims but each deal strengthens the portfolio.”

The deal is the latest in a string of high profile transactions that DWF has acted on including acting for multiple German entities on the sale of a retail and logistics portfolio across Germany and acting for an investment vehicle affiliated with global real estate investment firm Colony Capital, Inc. on its £311 million purchase of the Gemini property portfolio in the UK.
