The German Würth Group pursued its external-growth strategy in Eastern Europe by acquiring Rexel’s electrical wholesale operations in Poland, Slovakia and Estonia. The French Rexel group is listed on Euronext (RXL) and active in the wholesale of electrical supplies.

The operations in question accounted for sales of EUR 153 million in 2015. The completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities.

Jeantet assisted Würth in the transaction with Karl Hepp de Sevelinges and Bertrand Barrier, Partners, and Ruben Koslar, Associate (M&A). Karl Hepp de Sevelinges and his team jointed Jeantet in 2015 after assisting mostly German-speaking and international clients at one of the leading French law firms for over 15 years.
